Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines is a horror RPG from Troika Games released in 2004. This is the second PC game based on White Wolf's Vampire: The Masquerade: World of Darkness. The games takes place in a gritty and decrepit LA. You play as a newly embraced vampire that must learn the rules of the World of Darkness and eventually choose a side.
Bloodlines uses the Source engine so the graphics were very good for time but it was the artistic design that stood out. That along with the ambient music can bring about some of the scariest moments in gaming. Bloodlines has an intriguing story enhanced by what gender and clan you choose to play as. The only flaws in the are in the gameplay. Melee combat is a bit off and guns are almost useless. Skill points are awarded based on completing a task and not on using your skills or defeating baddies.
Still, Bloodlines is a great game that can picked and played today. Fan-made patches are still being made for Bloodlines (all the way to v 5.0).
In the video, Bertram Tung (a Nosferatu vampire) talks about the clans seen in the game.
